KEEPSAKE
On the bridge at Bruach na hAille
You and I sat down
You spoke of the Lowlands
I sang old Irish songs
By the cliffs at midnight
Islands in full view
Full moon cast a wicked veil
And captured me and you
Wrapped up in the stars
They came out just for you
Kisses ebbed and flowed
There was no blues
Memories my keepsake
To the world unseen
Melodies kindling
Old flames and pipedreams
She is like the island
Way out on the sea
The air from Doolin's piper
Brings her close to me
Sometimes I see her
Where our eyes did meet
A shadow in the twilight
Sunset on Fisher street
On the bridge at Bruach na hAille
You and I sat down
You spoke of the Lowlands
I sang old Irish songs
